A bag of salad mix went a little heavier on the "mix" than the "salad," reports CNN. Two people in Florida are now being treated for rabies exposure after finding a dead bat in a bag of Fresh Express Organic Marketside Spring Mix. Just in case you were considering ever eating anything ever again, the CDC has this little piece of reassurance: "The deteriorated condition of the bat did not allow for CDC to definitively rule out whether this bat had rabies." Their risk of contracting rabies is low, but not zero, the CDC says. Fresh Express has since recalled salads sold in Walmarts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. (More salad stories.)
