The "blond Bond" is taking a drastic break from guns, chicks, and shaken martinis: Daniel Craig plays a depressed, aging actor in the low-budget British flick Flashbacks of a Fool. Craig calls the role “a personal journey,” the AP reports. “I think you have to work hard at not becoming disillusioned about what you do for a living,” he says.
The actor, who shot to stardom through the Bond series, says it would be “terribly easy” to become like his character in the film, which premiered in London this weekend. “He has failed as a human being, and I wanted to explore that,” he said. Craig is currently filming his second Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. (More James Bond stories.)
