Pete Rose may have gotten himself banned from baseball in 1989 but that hasn't stopped fans and collectors from paying huge amounts for "Charlie Hustle" memorabilia. On Saturday, the ball Rose hit to break Ty Cobb's all-time Major League Baseball hits record sold on Leland's Auctions for $403,657.20, reports the AP. The hit, a single at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati on Sept. 11, 1985, was Rose's 4,192nd. In 1987, the record-breaking ball was the first piece of sports memorabilia to sell for six figures, the Springfield News-Sun reports. (More Pete Rose stories.)
