And while some figured the message was meant as a joke, police did eventually free a man stuck behind the machine. In what police officer Richard Olden tells KRIS is "a once in a lifetime situation that you will probably never see or hear again," a contractor had been changing a lock at a Bank of America location when he accidentally locked himself inside a room connected to the ATM, which he saw as his only way to get help. It isn’t clear how long the contractor was stuck, but police say he's doing fine.
