Sinead O'Connor has had her fair share of troubles over the years, and now she's back in the spotlight after a Facebook video showing her in a more recent state of distress. The 50-year-old singer put up the video Thursday, explaining she suffers from "three mental illnesses" and hoped her post could help others. She said she was staying in a motel in the "arse end of New Jersey" and that she'd been all alone for two years, save for the support of her psychiatrist. "That's about the only f---ing thing keeping me alive at the moment," she says through tears, adding if she wasn't fighting for the "millions and millions" of others going through similar issues, "I'd be gone." The AP reports O'Connor gave the address of a South Hackensack Travelodge, though when cops made a welfare check, they say she'd left without any indication of where she'd gone.

O'Connor's video has caught not only the eye of fans in the general populace, but also of some high-profile ones, per the Independent. "She appears to be completely out on a limb and I'm concerned for her safety," singer Annie Lennox posted on her own Facebook page Tuesday. "Are there no close friends or family who could be with her to give her some loving support? It's terrible to see her in such a vulnerable state." An anonymous poster apparently authorized to manage O'Connor's page wrote late Monday night that O'Connor "is safe" and "not suicidal," and that she'd requested the post be made to assure her fans she was OK. The comments section was filled with those suggesting the singer, who has four children, stay off Facebook and take care of her issues, as well as others pushing back against being too judgmental.
