Police in Florida think a missing 17-year-old girl has fled the state with her high school's soccer coach. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office suspects that Caitlyn Frisina, a senior at Fort White High School in Lake City, ran away with 27-year-old Rian Rodriguez, who coaches the boys' soccer team at the school, reports WTLV. A Facebook post from the sheriff's office says the pair are believed to be moving north in Rodriguez's red Mercury Sable. On Sunday, Caitlyn withdrew $200 from an ATM in St. Marys, Georgia.
Police say Caitlyn erased all the data in her phone, left it behind, and climbed out of a window at her home on Sunday to meet up with Rodriguez, reports Action News Jax. He has been suspended from his position as coach and is expected to be formally fired shortly. "We are now in the third day of her missing and having no contact with her," the girl's father posted on Facebook. "Her family loves her and more than anything else wants to know she is safe and not in danger!" (More missing person stories.)
