Pop Star Ed Sheeran Engaged

British pop-music superstar Ed Sheeran is officially off the market. On Saturday morning, the 26-year-old multiplatinum-selling singer-songwriter announced on Instagram that he and his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, are engaged, CNN reports. "Got myself a fiancé just before new year," Sheeran wrote. "We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx."

Sheeran and Seaborn have known each other since they were in school but didn't start dating until 2015, when he invited her to Taylor Swift's Fourth of July party. Sheeran's "Shape of You" was the No. 1-selling single on the British charts in 2017 and he is nominated in several categories at next month's Brit awards. But he won't be the only big success story in the family. Seaborn is a field-hockey standout who played on England's under-21 team at the 2012 European Championships.
