The lads probably never saw this coming when they formed a band back in 1962: Keith Richards just had to apologize to Mick Jagger over a vasectomy joke. It seems the Rolling Stones guitarist got a little flippant in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal in regard to the 74-year-old Jagger, whose eighth child came along in 2016. "It's time for the snip—you can't be a father at that age," said Richards. "Those poor kids!"
The two have a long history of animosity, notes the Washington Post, but this joke seemed to go too far. "I deeply regret the comments I made about Mick in the WSJ which were completely out of line," Richards tweeted. "I have of course apologised to him in person." The apology comes as the band extends its No Filter tour to include the Stones' first concerts in Britain in five years, per the Rolling Stone. (More Keith Richards stories.)
