Dr. Ronny Jackson not only won't be taking up a new job as Veterans Affairs chief, he won't be returning to his old job as White House physician, administration sources tell Politico and the Washington Post. The officials say Navy officer Sean Conley, who took over as President Trump's personal doctor last month, will remain in the role. Jackson, a Navy rear admiral and former combat physician, will remain on the White House medical staff, the sources say. Jackson withdrew his nomination to head the Department of Veterans Affairs last week, though he denied allegations that he wrecked a government car while drunk and was nicknamed "Candyman" for recklessly handing out prescriptions. (Trump says Democratic Sen. Jon Tester should resign for slandering the doctor with "false" allegations.)
