(AP Photo/Manuel Balce Ceneta) We'll hear it straight from the horse's mouth at 2pm, but the New York Times reports President Trump confirmed to French President Emmanuel Macron in a phone call on Tuesday that the US will pull out of the Iran nuclear deal. The deal, seen as one of Barack Obama's biggest foreign policy achievements, lifted sanctions in return for a freeze on Iran's nuclear program. Trump has called the agreement a "disaster," and the Times' source says Trump indicated to Macron that the US would be ready to reimpose those sanctions—and slap on additional ones. The AP's report on the call was more opaque: It quotes Macron's office as simply saying the two discussed "peace and stability in the Mideast." (More President Trump stories.) Report an error
