An "armed and dangerous" fugitive accused of shooting to death a Tennessee sheriff's deputy has been caught, authorities tell ABC News. "CAPTURED: Steven Wiggins is in custody! More details soon!" the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation tweeted around 9am local time Friday, showing pictures of Wiggins after his capture and adding, "Teamwork and diligence has paid off!" Hickman County Sheriff Randal Ward tells the Tennessean that Wiggins was found still in Hickman County, "laying by the side of the road," by a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper, not far from where Sgt. Daniel Baker was found dead in his car on Wednesday.

Local reports cite an affidavit that says Erika Castro-Miles, 38, was in the car with Wiggins when he shot Baker, per the AP. Court documents note she fled the scene and hid under a house until she was caught by cops. She has been charged with first-degree murder and is at the Dickson County Jail, ABC News reports. The TBI notes it will offer updates on the case at an 11am EDT press conference, which it will stream live on Facebook. (More fugitive stories.)
