(AP Photo/Mark Schiefelbein, File) Next week's historic summit between Kim Jong Un and President Trump might feature one of the only people on the planet who has spent significant amounts of time with both men: Dennis Rodman. The former NBA star—who has visited North Korea multiple times and was a Celebrity Apprentice contestant twice—might be in Singapore for the summit next week, and some sources say he could be involved in the negotiations, the Washington Post reports. But other sources say that if he does make it to Singapore, it will be to promote PotCoin, the cryptocurrency that sponsored his trip to Pyongyang last year. Rodman is planning to arrive in Singapore on June 11, the day before Trump is scheduled to sit down with the North Korean leader, sources tell the New York Post. "One thing’s for sure—the ratings will be huge," one source says. “A lot of times in situations that involve complex diplomacy countries like to identify ambassadors of goodwill and whether you agree with it or not Dennis Rodman fits the bill." Rodman—who gave Kim a copy of The Art of the Deal, among other items, last year—is "hoping for a historic outcome," spokesman Darren Prince says. (Rodman says his efforts as a "sports ambassador" helped bring about the summit.) Report an error
