Cardi B scored a big win even before the MTV Video Music Awards kicked off on Monday night, reports Time. During pre-show festivities, the rapper was awarded the 2018 Song of the Summer prize for catchy megahit "I Like It," featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny. The song, which has been in the Billboard Hot 100 for 18 weeks, beat Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris' "One Kiss" and Drake's "In My Feelings," among others, for the award. Cardi B, who opened the show in New York with her first performance since giving birth to a daughter last month, also won Best New Artist. Click for a full list of winners.
