Congress killed hopes of a “gas tax holiday,” but that won't stop Hillary Clinton from running on it. Her camp issued its second Indiana TV ad today blasting Barack Obama’s opposition to the measure, Talking Points Memo reports. Obama responded to her first ad by saying the holiday would save Indiana residents "only pennies a day," the AP reports.
Clinton counters that it would save Indiana voters $8 billion, but Obama's not buying it. "It's a Shell game. Literally," he said to voters at a campaign stop. Polls show Clinton running close in Indiana and gaining ground in North Carolina, where she is stumping today and tomorrow before hitting Indiana for Tuesday's primary. (More Hillary Clinton stories.)
