Ohio's scandal-hit AG has admitted having an affair, and apologized for his "human failings" in not cracking down on sexual harassment in his office, but doesn't plan to step down, the Columbus Dispatch reports. Marc Dann didn't name the woman, but his chief scheduler, whom he admitted spent the night at his condo, resigned yesterday. Dann fired two more aides and another quit after an internal investigation confirmed harassment charges.
Ohio's top Republicans slammed the Democrat, accusing him of double standards and calling for him to quit immediately. "He turned the attorney general's office into a raunchy frat pad, lied to the press, and lied to his own investigator," one said. "It's simply not acceptable that everyone but Dann himself will be held accountable." (More Marc Dann stories.)
