Alex Jones has lost the latest round of his legal battle against the parents of a murdered 6-year-old boy. A Texas judge rejected the conspiracy theorist radio host's attempt to have a defamation lawsuit from the parents of Noah Pozner, who was killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, thrown out of court, the New York Times reports. Jones has repeatedly claimed on his InfoWars show that the mass shooting was a hoax carried out as part of a government plot to seize guns and the grieving parents are actors. According to court documents, Noah's parents have had to move seven times after harassment and death threats from those who believe Jones' theories.

Mark Enoch, one of Jones' lawyers, argued that the lawsuit was an attempt to quash political speech protected by the First Amendment, reports Reuters. "It is an all-out campaign to silence my client," Enoch said. The request to throw the case out of court was "in all respects denied" by Austin judge Scott Jenkins, who also upheld a defamation claim from Marcel Fontaine, a man falsely identified by InfoWars as the Parkland school shooter. Mark Bankston, a lawyer for the Pozner parents and the parent of another Sandy Hook victim, tells CNN they are now "ready to move their lawsuits forward and hold InfoWars accountable for its vile acts of defamation and harassment against these innocent victims." (Social media sites have been cracking down on Jones and InfoWars.)
