How do you track down a fugitive who managed to bust his way out of prison with the aid of a helicopter and a grinding machine? By noticing when a woman has the body of a man, apparently. The BBC reports on how police apprehended Redoine Faid in his hometown of Creil, north of Paris, early Wednesday: French prosecutor François Molins says the investigation involved tracking the cell phones used by the gang that helped the 46-year-old bust out of prison on July 1. That led them to a young woman in the town, who last weekend was observed letting "into her car a person dressed in a burka whose figure suggested he might be a man."

Then, on Tuesday police say that same burka-clad person emerged from a car and went into the woman's apartment; a second burka-clad person came later. Police believed the two to be Faid and his brother and stormed the premises at 4:20am. Faid, who was serving a 25-year sentence in connection with a policewoman's death, previously broke out of prison in 2013. (More Redoine Faid stories.)
