"No question is off limits" is how ABC's 20/20 is promoting its interview with Melania Trump, airing Friday night at 10pm EDT. That apparently included queries about her marriage from Tom Llamas, who chatted with the first lady during her recent trip to Africa, ABC News reports. "It is not [a] concern and focus of mine," she told Llamas in a trailer for the full interview, brushing off his probing into alleged infidelities on the part of President Trump. "I'm a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do." She did concede the whispers are "not always pleasant," but "I know what is right and what is wrong and what is true and not true."
Llamas also brought up remarks made by Rudy Giuliani earlier this year, in which the president's attorney claimed Melania Trump "believes her husband, and she knows it's untrue"—remarks that seemingly jibe with her own, but which received a chilly reception from the first lady's camp back then. "I don't believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani," her rep said at the time, per CNN. Melania backed that up with Llamas, noting, "I never talked to Mr. Giuliani" and telling Llamas "you need to ask him" when the reporter asked why Giuliani would've said that. As for the current state of her union with the president, the first lady answered: "We are fine. … I'm very strong, and I know what my priorities are." (Read more highlights from the interview here.)
