Pokemon Go Gets a Catholic Clone
Find those saints.   (Follow JC Go!)

There's a new mobile game like Pokemon Go, only it encourages users to follow Jesus Christ rather than Pikachu. Made by Catholic evangelical group Fundación Ramón Pané, Follow JC Go! works just like the Pokemon-catching game downloaded 800 million times, but swaps Pokemon for saints and other Bible characters, which can be "caught" by correctly answering religious questions after players locate each character, reports the BBC. A Spanish version of the game launched Friday, but English, Italian, and Portuguese versions are expected soon.

FRP's executive director tells Crux Now that the Pope is "in awe" of the game, but some are less enthusiastic. "I wanted to burn heretics, but it wasn't possible,” reads a one-star review on Google's app store. FRP expects to draw more fans and more Catholic recruits with the free app, which comes in advance of the Catholic Church's World Youth Day in January and reportedly cost $500,000 and took 32,000 hours of work to create. Players should be ready to pray: They're encouraged to do so when passing a hospital or church, for example. (Sounds perfect for this guy.)
