Yes, as the Raw Story puts it, conservatives "lost their minds" over Bale's joke; the outlet rounds up outraged tweets from the right. Bale's acceptance speech was also making headlines due to his accent; some people simply forgot he's Welsh, but even people who knew and remembered that were confused by how he sounded.
