A Canadian woman thought she'd won the lottery—and technically, she had—until police discovered the winning ticket was purchased with a stolen credit card. The unidentified 33-year-old woman was arrested in St. John's, Newfoundland, as she tried to cash in the ticket at an Atlantic Lottery office, reports the CBC. The prize would have been around $50,000, but the woman didn't get a cent because police say the ticket was purchased with the credit card of a man who'd reported his wallet as stolen. Police say the ticket was among several items purchased at the same store with the credit card. The woman is now charged with theft and fraud. It's not clear what will happen to the lottery winnings. (This legitimate lottery win came at a great time.)
