Hope briefly flared that Timmothy Pitzen, the Illinois boy who went missing at age 6 in 2011, had been found Wednesday in Kentucky. That hope died Thursday when the FBI announced that the teenage boy who claimed to be Pitzen was not actually him. "DNA results have been returned indicating the person in question is not Timmothy Pitzen," an FBI spokesperson says in a statement, per the AP. "A local investigation continues into this person's true identity. Law enforcement has not and will not forget Timmothy, and we hope to one day reunite him with his family. Unfortunately, that day will not be today." (More on the teen, and Pitzen, here.)
