After nearly two months, police have called off their search of a Colorado landfill for the remains of Kelsey Berreth. The 29-year-old woman has not been seen since Nov. 22 and is presumed dead. "Her remains have not been found, nor has any evidence relating to her death," Woodland Park police said, per NBC. She was last seen on a neighborhood surveillance camera with Patrick Frazee, her fiance, and their year-old daughter. It was more than a week before she was reported missing, by her mother.
Frazee has been charged in the killing; investigators say he hit her with a bat and burned her body. Police had been searching the landfill since Feb. 25. Although the investigation will continue, the police chief said Wednesday, "This is not the outcome that we hoped for." (More Kelsey Berreth stories.)
