2 Dead, 4 Injured in UNC Charlotte Shooting

Source says suspected gunman is in custody

A source says two people are dead and four injured after a shooting at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, WSOC-TV reports. A lockdown is reportedly still in place on the campus, but the source says the male suspect is in custody. Two of those wounded reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries. "Shots reported near kennedy [building]. Run, Hide, Fight. Secure yourself immediately," the university said in a late afternoon alert to students, per the AP. (More North Carolina stories.)
