James Comey has been embroiled in a very public feud with ex-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Now the former FBI director is adding the current AG into the mix. Business Insider reports that Barr appeared on Fox & Friends Friday morning and repeated his assertion that there may have been "spying" on the Trump campaign, noting, "We should be worried about whether government officials abuse their power and put their thumb on the scale." He had used similar phrasing in a recent interview in the Wall Street Journal. The Hill notes that Barr also this week responded to Trump's call to "investigate the investigators" in Robert Mueller's Russia probe by hiring the top federal prosecutor in Connecticut to look into that investigation's origins.

Comey seemingly responding to all of that Friday night on Twitter. "The AG should stop sliming his own Department," Comey tweeted. "If there are bad facts, show us, or search for them professionally and then tell us what you found. An AG must act like the leader of the Department of Justice, an organization based on truth." His final jab at Barr, who's been accused of acting more like the president's attorney than the top attorney for the people of the United States: "Donald Trump has enough spokespeople."
