Lawyers Say Alex Jones Sent Them Child Porn

A bizarre twist in the Sandy Hook lawsuit against Alex Jones: Lawyers for the families of school massacre victims say the Infowars host sent them child pornography in email files turned over as part of the defamation lawsuit, reports the Connecticut Post. The lawyers say they reported the images to the FBI. "The FBI advised counsel that its review located numerous additional illegal images, which had apparently been sent to Infowars email addresses," lawyers stated in a court filing Monday. Norman Pattis, Jones' attorney, said the images were in emails that had been sent to Infowars and never opened, the AP reports. Pattis said Jones had done nothing wrong.

Any suggestion people at Infowars knew child porn "was embedded in emails is risible," Pattis tells NBC. On his radio show Friday, Jones claimed that he was being framed by Chris Mattei, who is representing Sandy Hook families, and offered a $1 million reward to whoever could find the person who tried "to set me up with child porn." "One million dollars, you little gang members," he said. "One million dollars to put your head on a pike." He threatened "total war" against Mattei and pounded his fist on a photo of the lawyer. In a statement Monday, Pattis denied that Jones had threatened Mattei. The families of eight massacre victims are suing Jones and Infowars for spreading theories that the mass shooting was a hoax. (Jones claims "psychosis" caused him to believe the shooting was staged.)
