Yes, spoilers ahead: Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey has already come out and said she wished Cersei Lannister had experienced "a better death," telling the Guardian she was "kind of gutted" by her character's demise under a pile of falling rocks. She specified to Entertainment Weekly that part of her "wanted her to have some big piece or fight with somebody." Now, People reports Headey offered another tidbit about her character, this time while at a comic book convention in Germany. She revealed they shot a miscarriage scene for the penultimate episode that got left on the cutting-room floor.
"It was a really traumatic, great moment for Cersei," she says. "I kind of loved doing that because I thought it would've served her differently. ... We can't say it isn't interesting to at least think about how that moment may have changed things." The Mary Sue argues that the scene would have recast what was otherwise a very confusing pregnancy: "Is Cersei really pregnant? Why hasn’t she been showing? How far along is she that she thinks she can claim Euron Greyjoy to be the baby daddy? It was just really wasted as a storyline." (More Game of Thrones stories.)
