He may not be leading in polls like this one, but President Trump is way ahead of the pack of 2020 presidential contenders when it comes to fundraising. On the heels of the official launch of his re-election campaign, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted Wednesday that Trump "raised a record breaking $24.8 million for his re-election in less that 24 hours." She didn't offer specifics on when that window opened and closed. CNN notes Trump's campaign collected only slightly more, $30.3 million, from January to March.

Democrats Joe Biden, Beto O'Rourke, and Bernie Sanders raised a combined $18.3 million in the first 24 hours after their campaign launches, per Politico. Indeed, Trump's figure "blows past what any of the Democratic candidates raised in the entire first quarter," reports Fox News. "The enthusiasm across the country for this President is unmatched and unlike anything we've ever seen!" McDaniel wrote Wednesday. Trump retweeted the message, adding "THANK YOU!"
