Beth Chapman, wife of the TV bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman, died at age 51 on Wednesday. The AP, which describes her as "brash, buxom, and blonde," confirmed her death at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu. "It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain," tweeted her husband. "Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side." The reality TV stars married in 2006 after 16 years together. The AP notes Duane Chapman's 23-year-old daughter was killed in a car crash in Alaska two days before their wedding date; they decided to go forward with the ceremony in celebration of Barbara Katy Chapman's life.

Beth Chapman was diagnosed in September 2017 with stage II throat cancer after going to the doctor for a persistent cough. The cancer appeared to be gone after two months, but returned in 2018 as stage IV lung cancer. On Mother's Day, Beth told fellow members at the Source Church in Bradenton, Fla., that her cancer battle had been "the ultimate test of faith" and indicated she had stopped chemo, reports TMZ. She had been in a medically induced coma for several days. (More obituary stories.)
