"You see men celebrating all around the world in big tournaments, you know, grabbing their sacs or whatever it is," soccer star Alex Morgan said Friday. So she's a little puzzled by the reaction her imaginary sipping of tea has received, the Huntington Post reports. Morgan had celebrated a goal over England in a Women's World Cup match last week by appearing to drink from a teacup. "I feel there is some double standard for females in sports, to feel like we have to be humble in our successes and have to celebrate—but not too much," Morgan told reporters in Lyon, France. Morgan said she's "a little disappointed" in the criticism.

Her celebration partly was a nod to English actress Sophie Turner, Morgan said, per ESPN. The English actress ends her Instagram commentaries with "And that's the tea" and a sip from a cup. "It wasn't a hit to England in any way," Morgan said Friday. The US players hope to celebrate again on Sunday, when they play the Netherlands in the final. It would be the fourth World Cup title for the US women's team. (More Alex Morgan stories.)
