A woman flashed by a man as she jogged last week chased him, caught him, and held him—but he got away after passersby ignored her pleas to call 911. Aia Polansky, 33, said she was jogging in Cambridge, Massachusetts, when she passed a man walking the other way who pulled his pants down more than once, per NBC Boston. After Polansky passed him, she made a U-turn, calling out, "I'm going to get you, darling!" She told reporters this week that "it was not his lucky day—because I decided to chase him down." While she held him by his arms, she said, the man "was really, really scared." She called out to at least four people to help her, but she said no one did. He eventually broke free and ran. Police are looking for the man, and they posted a video on Facebook to help identify him.
Polansky, who told CNN that she's a veteran of the Israeli military, said she's disappointed that no one helped. "Where I come from and how I grew up, we don't just walk by," she said. "We don't just ignore it." Although their official advice is to summon an officer when something like this happens, not chase down the suspect, police said they don't blame her. "I had this guy and he just left," Polansky said. (More flasher stories.)
