Canada's military has joined in the hunt for two teenage homicide suspects in northern Manitoba, the CBC reports. A Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130H Hercules aircraft is now helping to pursue Kam McLeod, 19, and Bryer Schmegelsky, 18, who were seen Monday in the town of Gillam, where RCMP officers are going door-to-door. Meanwhile, the RCMP has released surveillance video of the suspects and is asking anyone who "inadvertently" aided them to step forward—which an Alberta man may have already done, CTV News reports. The Cold Lake resident says he helped the pair get their vehicle unstuck near his home Friday, and only recognized them later on social media.

First Nations communities are also getting nervous and sought help from a Winnipeg-based neighborhood watch group. In another twist, a photo allegedly taken by Schmegelsky of a Nazi armband and Hitler Youth knife has emerged—but Schmegelsky's father tells the CBC his son only thought the items were "cool." Yet Alan Schmegelsky admits he was shocked to see Bryer get excited by Nazi items in an army surplus store. "I was disgusted and dragged him out. My grandparents fled the Ukraine with three small children during the Second World War," says Alan, who adds that his son "thought he was Russian. Germans are their enemies." The two teens are wanted in the murder of a young couple along a British Columbia highway. (Alan also says he thinks his son is near death.)
