Controversial comedian Andy Dick says he was "knocked out 100%" by a punch to the head in New Orleans early Saturday, and police have announced an arrest in what's being probed as a "possible assault," per CNN. It reports David Hale, 46, was arrested on one count each of second-degree battery and simple battery early Wednesday. The sucker-punch outside One Eyed Jack's in the city's French Quarter was captured on video; it shows the punch being thrown by a man wearing dark clothes.

CNN reports no motive has been given, and producer Robert Couvillion says Dick was "on his best behavior" during his Friday night show at the club. But nola.com reports by way of a police source that Hale told police Dick grabbed his genitals when he went to say goodbye to the comedian after watching the show. Hale allegedly told police that he grew angry, and that Dick responded to that by winking at him, spurring an eventual punch. Nola.com reports second-degree battery is a felony punishable by up to 8 years in prison. The source says police will look into Hale's allegations. (More Andy Dick stories.)
