A Kentucky reporter kissed by a stranger while on the air is pushing back. Per NBC News, WAVE 3's Sara Rivest was covering Louisville's Bourbon and Beyond fest last Friday when a group of men started acting up nearby. As Rivest tried to ignore them, one of them went behind her, pretended to be readying for a smack, then came back to give her a quick peck on the cheek. "OK, that was not appropriate," she said to the camera, laughing. But she didn't really find any of it funny. "Hey mister, here's your 3 seconds of fame. How about you not touch me? Thanks!!" she later wrote on Twitter, posting video of the incident. Rivest says her laughter was instinctive. "I'm pissed at myself that I laughed," she wrote online. She told WAVE that the kiss was "an exertion of power over me, a woman trying to do her job."

"This is not OK," she stressed. Rivest reported the incident to police, and the kisser has since been identified by cops as 42-year-old Eric Goodman. Goodman has been charged with harassment with physical contact, a misdemeanor; he has a summons to appear in court. WAVE notes Goodman has sent Rivest an apology note, in which he says he was with a bachelor party and has, after listening to Rivest and other commenters, come to see how he erred; he notes seeing her reaction has changed him: "I was wrong to interrupt your job, invade your personal space, and leave you feeling powerless." Rivest says she "absolutely" accepts his apology. She agrees with the charges against him, though: "Actions ... do have consequences." (More harassment stories.)
