The lawyer for the whistleblower who reported President Trump's Ukraine call said he also represents a second whistleblower. That person, described as an intelligence official, has talked to Michael Atkinson, the inspector general for intelligence matters, ABC News reports. The lawyer, Mark Zaid, says the person who came forward more recently has firsthand knowledge of some of the information in the complaint released Sept. 26. Both are protected by the whistleblower law.

And there may be others, per CBS: A legal teammate of Zaid's, Andrew Bakaj, tweeted on Sunday that "my firm and my team represent multiple whistleblowers" in connection with the July call between Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky. The original whistleblower's complaint has led to an impeachment inquiry in the House. The New York Times had reported that a potential whistleblower was considering coming forward; Zaid said he doesn't know whether that person is the whistleblower he announced Sunday. (There's also reportedly a whistleblower on Trump's tax returns.)
