On the brighter side, he's looking healthy and slim. But Joe Giudice has been sent to his native Italy and will have to keep appealing his deportation from there, People reports. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was released Friday by ICE and quickly showed up in his daughter's social-media posts (see one here). His eldest daughter, 18-year-old Gia Giudice, posted a snapshot of him smiling in a FaceTime conversation: "One of the happiest moments of my life!" she wrote. "Love you so much daddy, so happy your [sic] free! See you so soon." But Giudice, 47, might have an uphill battle.

After finishing a 41-month prison sentence for bankruptcy, wire, and mail fraud in March, he was held by ICE in Pennsylvania because he's not a US citizen. Giudice says his parents brought him to America when he was an infant and he never knew he wasn't American, per Fox News. He had asked to be released by ICE to his wife and four daughters in New Jersey, which was denied; his subsequent petition to go to Italy was OK'd, and off he went. "We are still fighting and it is his desire to return home to the United States to be reunited with his family," says the reality star's lawyer. (More reality TV stories.)
