A patient thief managed to make off with $13,000 in jewelry from a Costco after it closed, Fox 5 Atlanta reports. Investigators say the man cased the Atlanta-area store Oct 10, came back a few hours later, hid behind a display by the front wall, and waited there for nearly five hours until the store closed. That's when he broke a glass display case and left with the jewelry. "I've never heard of something like this," Jae Robertson of the Coweta County Sheriff's Office tells WSB-TV. "This is the first case I've ever had like this." Surveillance video apparently captured the whole thing, including the suspect's arrival and departure in a truck. Anyone who sees the thief or the vehicle is urged to contact deputies. (Read more burglary stories.)
