The anonymous Trump official who made waves with an infamous New York Times op-ed last year revealing the "quiet resistance" within the administration is about to make more waves: He or she has a book coming out. A Warning, bylined simply "Anonymous," will be released November 19, CNN reports. Sources say the publisher and literary agents verified the author is the same person as the op-ed columnist, but that "elaborate precautions have been taken to protect the author's identity." "Picking up from where those first words of warning left off, this explosive book offers a shocking, first-hand account of President Trump and his record," reads a description of the book in a draft press release obtained by CNN. Neither the publisher nor the author's agency has commented on whether the author remains part of the Trump administration.

"The Author of A WARNING refused the chance at a seven figure advance and intends to donate a substantial amount of any royalties to the White House Correspondents Association and other organizations that fight for a free press that seeks the truth," says a co-founder of the author's agency. He adds that the book "was not written by the author lightly, or for the purpose of financial enrichment. It has been written as an act of conscience and of duty." A source close to the book adds that "the views reflected in the book are those of numerous senior officials in the administration including those afraid to say anything publicly." Per the Washington Post, it's being described as "an unprecedented behind-the-scenes portrait of the Trump presidency." The response from White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham: "Takes a lot conviction and bravery to write a whole book anonymously." (More President Trump stories.)
