Kevin Hart "see[s] things differently" after his devastating car crash, he says in a new video posted to Instagram. "I see life from a whole new perspective. My appreciation for life is through the roof." The actor and comedian is shown in the hospital, going through rehabilitation, and at home with his family in the nearly 2-minute video, CNN reports. "You know when God talks, you gotta listen," he says. "I swear, life is funny. Because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the things that you needed most. And in this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down."

He says the crash caused him to realize that "no matter how much you think you're in control, you're not in control. At the end of the day, it can all be over, man." He adds that when "you're moving too fast and you're doing too much," you can't see what's really important. His "world was forever changed" as a result of the accident, he says, and he's looking forward to "being a bigger and better version of me." TMZ notes it's his first time speaking out since the Sept. 1 crash. (More Kevin Hart stories.)
