The last American Music Awards of this decade will be held on Nov. 24, and Taylor Swift will be honored at them as the Artist of the Decade. The singer has won 23 AMAs this decade, the most of any artist, per the Hollywood Reporter. That number also makes her the female artist with the most AMAs ever, and she has just one fewer than the artist with the overall record: Michael Jackson at 24. Swift, who released her latest album Lover this year, will give a performance at the awards show celebrating the biggest hits of her 13-year career. She's also nominated in five categories: artist of the year (which she's already won four times), favorite pop/rock album, favorite music video, and two different favorite artist categories (pop/rock and adult contemporary).
Rather than a traditional tour for Lover, which dropped in August, Swift announced last month that she'll be doing a series of "Lover Fest" festivals in two US cities and several European cities next summer. "For me, the Lover album is open fields and sunsets and SUMMER," she says in an Instagram post announcing the move. "I want to celebrate the album and perform it live with you in a way that feels authentic to the music." There was much consternation that Swift wouldn't be doing a massive tour as usual, BuzzFeed reports. But in an interview with Zane Lowe, she hinted at why: "Change happens not only in my career, but in my life. And I've got some pretty intense things happening with my family right now.
