Which Has More Words, Trump's Twitter Feed or Ulysses?

On Nov. 3, President Trump reached a very 21st-century milestone: As of this tweet posted that day, in which he berated Democratic "Fixers," he had tweeted more words while in office than James Joyce wrote in his epic Ulysses. And that's not counting Trump's retweets. As Time reports, Joyce's 1922 novel has 264,564 words. Trump had surpassed the word count of another classic, F. Scott Fitzgerald's 48,700-word The Great Gatsby, way back in January 2018, less than a year after taking office. As of Tuesday night, per Time and the Trump Twitter Archive, the POTUS had posted more than 12,000 tweets since taking office, 9,274 of them original.
