The FBI's Most Wanted list of fugitives now includes a Marine deserter on the run from a murder charge. Michael Alexander Brown is wanted in the slaying earlier this month of his mother's boyfriend in Virginia. Brown, 22, had deserted his post in October at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The sheriff's office said Brown has a high-powered rifle and could be living in the woods, CNN reports.

A private Facebook group supporting Brown now has more than 1,000 members, per the Marine Corps Times. The description says the group is for "anyone who supports Michael Brown and believes he is innocent and wants to wish him well in this chaos." Some comments say the combat engineer is innocent of the slaying, while other posts express hope that he'll survive this and "be able to tell his story." Brown's mother and grandmother have pleaded for him to turn himself in. The FBI poster is here. (More Most Wanted stories.)
