(Photo by Charles Sykes/Invision/AP) Leonardo DiCaprio has responded to Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro's accusation that he helped fund environmental NGOs that were setting fire to the Amazon, and the answer is no, he did not, reports CNN. "The future of these irreplaceable ecosystems is at stake and I am proud to stand with the groups protecting them," the actor wrote on Instagram. "While worthy of support, we did not fund the organizations targeted." He continued: "I remain committed to supporting the Brazilian indigenous communities, local governments, scientists, educators and general public who are working tirelessly to secure the Amazon for the future of all Brazilians." Bolsonaro's claim comes from what the New York Times calls "disputed social media posts claiming that the World Wildlife Fund" paid for images of staged fires and used them to fundraise—including $500,000 from DiCaprio. "Cool guy, right?," he said of DiCaprio. "Giving money to torch the Amazon." Read These Next White House rolls with Trump's 'daddy' nickname. New Fox star, 23, misses first day after car troubles.
