Saturday Night Live previewed the holiday hell that is political debate at the dinner table in its latest Cold Open, trotting out every tired trope from the right and the left in visits to three different families vis a vis a snowman/Nest Home cam hacker played by Aidy Bryant. Bryant's show gets crashed, though, by Kate McKinnon as Greta Thunberg, who declares, "In 10 years, this snowman won't exist. Santa, reindeer, the North Pole, all of it, gone. The ice caps will melt and the elves will drown. So, merry maybe our last Christmas to all. And Donald Trump, step to me, and I'll come at you like a plastic straw comes at a turtle!" Scarlett Johansson, promoting A Marriage Story, guest-hosted a sixth time, and the show parodied her movie with the much lighter A Conway Marriage Story. (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
