New York City was rattled by the apparent abduction of a 16-year-old girl this week, but on Tuesday came amazing news: She's been found safe. It was a scene that occurred around 11:20pm Monday in the Bronx and was captured in a grainy surveillance video (see it here). Karol Sanchez was walking with her mom on Eagle Avenue when a beige, four-door sedan pulled up. Police say two of the four men in the car grabbed Karol and forced her into the vehicle; the Daily Beast reports Karol's 36-year-old mom was allegedly pushed to the ground when she tried to cling to her daughter's jacket.

An Amber Alert was issued. Then, Tuesday, this tweet from the NYPD's 40th precinct: "WE HAVE A VICTORY TODAY !! Karol has been found !!! Thank you to all who have worked very hard to track down the people involved in this case !!!" The New York Times earlier reported police had offered no motive, but had promised to provide up to $2,500 to anyone with information. CBS New York reported that state police suspected the teen may have been in danger. (Her disappearance came just days after the murder of an 18-year-old Barnard College student.)
