Ugly Betty cast members and fans are mourning show creator Silvio Horta, who was found dead in Miami on Monday. Representatives declined to comment on how the 45-year-old died, but sources tell Variety that he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a motel room. Horta, who also served as showrunner and head writer on the ABC sitcom, was nominated for an Emmy in 2007. The show, which ran from 2006 to 2010, also won a Golden Globe for best comedy TV series that year, People reports. "His talent and creativity brought me and so many others such joy and light," Ugly Betty star America Ferrara said in an Instagram post. She said she was "stunned and heartbroken" by the news.
