Farber Dulos' Nanny: I Made Odd Paper Towel Discovery

Jennifer Farber Dulos' estranged husband was charged with her murder on Tuesday, and ABC News cites his arrest warrant in providing new alleged details in the Connecticut mom's May 24 disappearance. Officials allege that Fotis Dulos, 52, killed the mother of five in her garage between 8:05am and 10:25am, cleaned up the scene, and removed her body from the home via her vehicle. Per his arrest warrant, the children's nanny got to the house at 11:30am and noticed something strange: Lauren Almeida told officials that the night prior she had stocked the pantry with a 12-pack of paper towel rolls, but upon arriving found just 2 rolls there. • Almeida noted that a cup of tea and unopened granola bar sat on the counter.
• Farber Dulos, 50, had doctor's appointments scheduled, and Almeida tried to reach her via text throughout the day. A 4pm call went to voicemail, and she told police, "Immediately my stomach sank ... in the almost seven years that I have worked for Jennifer I NEVER EVER had a hard time reaching her and NEVER had an issue with her phone being off."

• Dulos' girlfriend, 45-year-old Michelle Troconis, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder on Tuesday, as was Dulos' friend, attorney Kent Mahwinney, 53.
• The Courant reports the warrant cites DNA evidence including Dulos' DNA discovered on the interior doorknob of Farber Dulos' mudroom. Almedia says that on the afternoon of May 24 she found the rear mudroom door unlocked; that wasn't typically the case.
• Police say that trash bags recovered in Hartford contained two gloves—one with Dulos' DNA on the interior and one with Farber Dulos' DNA on the exterior—as well as zip ties with Farber Dulos’ DNA. Troconis' DNA was found on one trash bag, per the warrant.
• Dulos was also charged with kidnapping, and the warrant explains that "there's little reason to zip tie a dead person, so it is reasonable that [Farber Dulos] was alive when she was bound by the ties and they were used to prevent her escape."
• The Stamford Advocate reports the warrant quoted Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner James R. Gill as saying Farber Dulos likely suffered a "non-survivable" injury. Her death is listed as a "homicide of violence" that likely involved bludgeoning and stabbing.
• Mahwinney's arrest warrant cites an incident at a gun club he belongs to: In the week prior to Farber Dulos vanishing, two men discovered a grave-like hole on the wooded property of the Windsor Rod and Gun Club. They say it held a blue tarp and two unused bags of lime. The next month, they saw "the hole had been filled and covered 'as neat as a pin.'" Two searches returned no indication of human remains. The Connecticut Post reports the warrant indicates the hole could have been a place to temporarily put Farber Dulos' body. It also added that Mawhinney allegedly asked a member how to gain access to the property, as it had been as many as six years since his last visit.
• The AP reports Dulos was arraigned Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court, where he was ordered held on a $6 million bond. Troconis' bond was set at $1.5 million, and Mawhinney's at $2 million.
