After endless debate, Brexit is now less than a day away. The divorce between the UK and the European Union formally takes place Friday, and members of the EU parliament marked the occasion Wednesday by joining hands for an emotional rendition of "Auld Lang Syne," notes Business Insider. The goodbye song was especially fitting for 73 UK members of the parliament who will now lose their seats, notes the BBC, which rounds up other immediate effects such as new British passports. Lawmakers sang the traditional song after formally approving the split. A huge priority for Boris Johnson's government: hammering out new trade agreements with individual nations.
