After joining a Facebook group for parents of newborns, a woman in Washington spotted an ad offering free baby photos. The photographer said she was trying to build up her portfolio, so the new mother took the photographer up on the offer. During the visits, the mother noticed the photographer taking selfies with the infant, Fox News reports. More concerning, she was wiping her fingerprints off things she'd touched in the house. On the third visit, the mother became numb, drowsy and ill after eating a cupcake the photographer and her teenage daughter had given her, so she told them to leave. After noticing that her house keys were missing, she called 911. Investigators say the photographer was planning to steal the newborn and raise the child as her own.

Pierce County authorities said the suspect, 36, and her 16-year-old daughter were arrested Friday on several felony charges. They say there could be other victims, per WPXI. They asked that anyone in the area who's had contact with a Juliette Parker, Juliette Noel or Juliette Gains who said she's a photographer call them. Deputies bought new locks for the mother's house and installed them. (More child abduction stories.)
