While six Democrats vying to replace him were clashing in Las Vegas, President Trump was holding a rally one state over—and he gave the audience in Phoenix a debate update. "I hear he’s getting pounded tonight," Trump said of Michael Bloomberg. "I hear they're pounding him." Trump once again claimed that the Democratic Party was trying to rob Bernie Sanders of the nomination, the Hill reports. "And that’s OK, because we don't care who the hell it is, we’re going to win," Trump told the crowd at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum . "We have to."

Trump, who started his Phoenix speech about 30 minutes after the Democratic debate began, mocked other Democratic candidates including "jerk" Tom Steyer, who didn't qualify for the debate, reports CBS. After the rally, the president tweeted: "Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones. He was stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will." In a statement, Trump's campaign claimed that the Democratic Party is "in the midst of a full-scale meltdown." (More President Trump stories.)
